HISTORY

The South African College Schools opened its doors to boys in 1829. Situated in the city centre, it was originally established as a combined Junior and High School with a small university section soon to become the University of Cape Town.

In 1903, the Junior school emerged as a separate entity to its sister institutions, SACS High and UCT. Forty Nine years later in 1952, the Junior School moved to its present site in Newlands. Today, both Junior and High Schools enjoy sharing the beautiful estate as one campus set against the backdrop of Table Mountain.
