The School offers many scholarships and bursaries, a number of which allow previously disadvantaged boys to win a place at the school on academic, sporting, music or leadership merit. These are sponsored by past pupils, corporations and the school itself. Scholarships for tertiary education are also offered and are awarded on the basis of competitive examination. Further details can be obtained from the school secretary or by visiting the school website.   The highest academic honour to which a SACS student may aspire is a Rhodes Scholarship. This is awarded each year to a SACS Old Boy graduate from a South African university and is tenable at Oxford University for two years.
